Thank you very much for your interest. I am sorry to answer that late, some modules in this websites are still not fully operational.
As you must have seen, there is not much documentation available for SlapOS. We are improving it, and many documentation pages will appear in the coming weeks on this website. Maybe some of your questions have already been answered in updates of SlapOS Master tutorial.
You may not be interested in building your own SlapOS Master for the moment, because we are still improving some steps to make it really easy to install and configure, and polishing many backend things before making it available. It should be ready within a month.
We are also finishing a "slapos master" configurator for ERP5. As you may know, the reference implementation for SlapOS Master runs on ERP5 (erp5.com). With this configurator, you will be able to have in two clicks a running SlapOS Master. We already use the same technology to configure UNG - an open source Google Docs / Gmail clone - and make it available to anyone in 15 minutes (tested by myself). Last, but not least, our efforts are concentrated to create a SlapOS Lesson that we will use in several places. It should be - again - ready within a month.
This said, we run a platform that uses SlapOS Master : Vifib. You can register to this platform and try it. Soon, you will be able to add your own computer to the vifib cloud and specify what should be done with this computer (for example : instantiating automatically your own SlapOS Master to be independent).
